Preparing for your session
Boudoir sessions are a wonderful way to celebrate YOU in all of your beauty and confidence. Whether it’s a gift of empowerment for you or a gift for your significant other, preparation makes all the difference.
I’m sharing my best tips to help you get the most out of your boudoir experience and truly enjoy it. I want you to feel prepared, enjoy yourself and love your images. Here are some tips on how to prepare in the days leading up to your session:
Outfits.
Purchase and try on all of your outfits BEFORE your session. You should have an idea if the piece is comfortable and fits the way you want it to.
Beauty.
Plan your haircuts, color treatments, and waxing at least a week prior to your session to avoid irritated skin and redness.
Consider getting a mani and pedi at least a day prior to your session.
Hydrate to keep your skin glowing and moisturize for a smooth and soft look.
Get a good night’s rest the night before for a fresh and well-rested look in your images.
Nutrition.
Eat a light but healthy meal before your session. Avoid heavy, greasy meals to prevent bloating and sluggishness. Drink plenty of water and bring a water bottle and light snacks with you for sessions over 2 hours.
Stretch!
You will be placed in many poses that can leave you sore. Having a regular stretch routine will help you feel ready to tackle each pose. Your body will thank you for it.
Arriving at the session.
Have clean, dry hair and a clean, make-up free face. Our hair and make-up stylists will take care of you with a pampered session to highlight your beauty.
Wear loose but comfortable clothing to avoid marking your skin from tight clothing. Avoid tight fitting garments that leave markings on your skin such as bras and socks.
Bring your outfits and accessories. You will get ready at the session location.
Relax and let me do the work.
No matter what comes up, give yourselves grace and flexibility. I am here to make you look and feel your best. Relax, have fun and let your inner goddess shine!
